This policy covers the Love in a Note™ website (loveinanote.com), operated by Shofar-David Creative LLC.

What information we collect

Automatically collected information. When you visit our site, standard web technology automatically collects certain information: your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, the time and date of your visit, and referring URLs. This happens through two services we use (Google Analytics and Cloudflare) and is typical of virtually every website you visit.

Information you choose to share. If you email us at hello@loveinanote.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We don't have any contact forms, newsletter signups, or user accounts on this site.

How we use it

We use the automatically collected information to understand how visitors use our site: which pages are popular, where traffic comes from, and how we can make things better. We use your email address only to reply to your message.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it to anyone.

Third-party services

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic. Google Analytics collects data using cookies and sends it to Google's servers. Google's use of that data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare. Our site is hosted and delivered through Cloudflare's content delivery network. Cloudflare may process certain visitor data (such as IP addresses) as part of its infrastructure and security services. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.

Amazon. Love in a Note™ cards are sold exclusively through Amazon. If you click through to Amazon and make a purchase, that transaction is handled entirely by Amazon and is subject to Amazon's Privacy Notice. We don't collect or receive any payment or personal information from Amazon purchases.

Cookies

Google Analytics places cookies in your browser to track visits and measure site usage. These are analytics cookies only; we don't use cookies for advertising or tracking across other websites.

If you'd prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not sell your personal data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Full stop.

California residents (CCPA)

If you're a California resident, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). As noted above, we do not sell personal information, so the right to opt out of sale doesn't apply here. Data retention

We don't store personal data on our own servers. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics according to the retention settings we've configured (typically 14 months). Emails you send us are retained in our email inbox for as long as needed to assist you.

Links to other websites

Our site includes links to Amazon and to Google's and Cloudflare's websites. Once you leave our site, their own privacy policies apply and we have no control over what they collect.

Children's privacy

Love in a Note™ cards are for parents to write to their children. Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of the page. We encourage you to review it periodically.
